Raouf Belefqih
Thermal Doctor
Dr. Raouf Belefqih did his medical studies and his doctorate in 1985 in Limoges (France). Following this, he went into the field of thermal medicine through obtaining a medical certificate of hydrology and climatology medical, and also sports medicine through a CES of biology and sports medicine in Clermont Ferrand (France).
In 1986, he goes back to Morocco to perform his national service as a sports doctor at the National Sports Institute of Moulay Rachid-Maamora-Salé until 1988. After his national service, Dr. Raouf Belefqih became a spa doctor at Baths of Moulay Yacoub, and becomes two years later the medical director of the baths.
He had on his arrival, set up and institute the thermal medicine which didn't exist yet in Morocco. The doctor had to:
- Set up training of staff and the medical profession through various conferences
- Perform scientific and medical research and theses
- Create many collaborations with schools of physiotherapists
- Set up a communication strategy
